Saturday Laziness: Clean Coal, Mac & Me, Movie Ideas
More Saturday means more videos. This week we’ve got some stuff from the Coen Brothers, the Whitest Kids U Know, and somebody from the 80′s who made the trippiest E.T. ripoff I’ve ever seen.
Clean Coal Clean
The Coen Brothers have begun directing these mock advertisements for “Clean Coal,” which, according to them, doesn’t exist. At least I think that’s the point. It’s tough to say when your political ads get this meta.
Of course, it looks to me as though the Coens have just copped my shit. What proof is there, you may be asking yourself. Well, check out this video for Fuck Pollution. Long before their ads, I was already making much more offensive ads. Much more offensive.
Mac & Me
So, this clip, no matter how much explanation precedes it, will make no sense. Whatsoever. Apparently it’s from Mac & Me, which looks like a crazy rip off of E.T.
Big-ups to FilmDrunk and Paul Rudd for finding this gem. This is now at the top of my Netflix queue.
Movie Ideas
This is by The Whitest Kids U Know, from their second season. Hang in there, it gets progressively better as you go along. And I think it’s a pretty accurate depiction of what these development meetings are like.
I can pretty much see all of these movies being made. I can also see myself paying to see them.
