President Bush on Auto Bailout: “Huh?”

2008 December 18

President Bush suggested today that the U.S. government could assist in bankruptcy procedures for Big Three automakers. When asked about aiding an auto bailout today, the president said he was not sure yet what to do, but did not want to leave a mess for Barack Obama. Of course, the president was referring to the six different Hot Wheels tracks he had combined throughout the Oval Office.

When then asked whether bankruptcy was a viable option for the companies, President Bush responded: “Vroom! Vroom! Whaahhh…Whahhhh… SCREECH! KABLUEY!”
