Go See The Caucasian Chalk Circle
For the past ten days, I have been inside the Theater for the New City. I have been hanging lights, building platforms, dressing dummies, hanging dummies, and more often than not felt like a dummy. But it has all been worth it because I’ve been working on Pipeline Theatre Company’s production of The Caucasian Chalk Circle, which is phenomenal. You should see it. Seriously. It runs through March 19th, features some very talented friends of mine, and is absolutely stunning. It’s been called “a tour-de-force fueled by an extraordinary cast” (NYTheatre.com). Here’s a video of audience reactions (which are positive) by The Orange Hats:
The show runs Wednesday-Sunday at Theater for the New City, 155 1st Avenue. 8PM, $18, $15 with student ID. More ticket information is available here. More information on Pipeline Theatre Company can be found at their website, or on Facebook. It’s Brecht, but funny. And good. What more could you ask?
